I am the Lord your God who brings you out of bondage
Out of the straits, out of narrow-mindedness

On the seventh day celebrate the oneness
Bring honor to your parents (and teachers with an honorable life)

Make an earthen altar (Make an altar of this earth)

Now a few notes on finance from my Guru

A. Have fun with finance (fun-ance). Being comfortable is no worry about how to pay the bills. Don't spend so much and find it hard to pay the bills. Then you're comfortable.

B. Respect everyone and everything, also money which is a form of God. See all and everything as manifestations of that cosmic consciousness; this is Yoga.

C. You can apply Yoga to all that you do. You can be a good business person and a good Yogi.

D.  Re borrowing money – if it’s for a good purpose, okay. Not for luxuries, but for a good reason -- and know you'll pay it back. Don't depend on the loan alone, or you feel lonesome.

E. Budget your life, budget money, budget everything. Know how much you
    can get, and how much you can have; how much to save (maybe 20% as Joseph taught). And know how much to spend -- within certain limits

Yoga and Finance

Sunday afternoon, sitting in the shade beside the Ashcroft neighborhood pool about 6 PM, still plenty of sun. June 26 is near the summer solstice. This is the period with plenty of light. Reminds me a bit of the summer in the Arctic, the sun never went all the way down; it turned up in the afternoon.

Go up, take possession. Don’t be afraid or resigned

God goes before you and fights for you

With childlike innocence and no knowledge of good or evil

You may enter the land of non-duality and possess it  Experience oneness

Do What You Said You’d Do

Wherever you go and wherever you are

This is the camp of the Lord

When you say you’ll do something, do it!

Fulfill the words that cross your lips   This is empowering

If you feel impure, bathe in clean water

And re-dedicate yourself to your most noble intentions

Use honest weights and measures

With no alternate weights in your pouch

In this way endure in the land of your sacred inheritance

Don’t be indifferent to another’s difficulties or losses

Assist however you can

You’re always free to divorce    No one owns another, but

When you marry, consider it forever 

Give happiness to the person you marry

Don’t regularly dress yourself as someone you are not

Don’t pretend; be who you are

Don’t prostitute yourself

Even for what you consider a sacred cause

Lend to relatives and friends without charging interest

Thus, God blesses you in all your undertakings

Never defame anyone

Or speak disrespectfully of their intimate life

Whoever takes sexual advantage of an innocent woman or man

Must stand face to face before our mother and father in heaven

Don’t abhor or exclude anyone who may derive

From another culture, ethnic background or nationality

Including those from races or lands where we were persecuted

Remember to forget Amalek   our enemy over the ages

Don’t Come Empty-Handed

This day I set before you a blessing or a curse.

Hearken to God’s teachings or ignore the wise guidance

Pass over the Jordan  enter into a new awareness;

Go in and possess the land

God is expanding your borders

Your holdings and your understanding

Destroy the nations you are dispossessing

Who have been serving lesser gods

Vanity, self-image, greed, selfishness, gossip, anger, etc.

God is blessing you and causing you to rest

From all your enemies round about you   those old mind patterns

Dwell in safety

Rejoice before God with our sons and daughters

Also with those who serve beside us

And with the Levite within our gates     which is our devotional calling

Love God with all heart and soul      It's our nature

Do what is right and good in God’s eyes

We are a people consecrated to God

Rejoice before God in all that you put your hand unto

                             This is a blessing

Set aside every year a tenth part of the yield

Spend the money as you want

Don’t harden your heart before the needy

Rather open your hand; give readily without regrets

Feed outsiders, orphans, widows and widowers   help the indigent

Remember we were enslaved

Remember the day of our departure from bondage;

Sacrifice in the evening at sundown   A good time to make an offering

Don’t come before God empty-handed

We each bring our own gifts

According to the blessings God is bestowing on us.
