The Parking Place – A Story

Place, makom, as you may know, is one of the mystical names of “all of this.”
Once a fellow was trying very hard to find a parking place – and every space was taken. In just a few minutes he had to be at an important appointment nearby. As we was driving slowly looking and looking he began to pray:” “O God, if you find me a parking place, I’ll davven every morning and evening. I’ll stop eating shell fish. I’ll call my Mom and Dad. I’ll tithe to charities. I’ll” --  Just then he spotted a place two cars ahead on the right.  “Never mind, never mind, I found one.”
Have you cut your deal with God and found your parking place?
