Engrave the Names

Selections from Names/Shemot in Tetzaveh Exodus 27.20-30.10

Bring clear illuminating oil causing a light to burn continually
In the Tent of Meeting (communion). Such light comes from us
For all time (Pure oil, sign of meditation that brings clear light)

On two sacred stones engrave the names of the 12 tribes
Six names on one and six on the other, in order of their birth
Rubin, Shimon Levi,   Yehudah, Dan, Naftali,
Gad, Asher, Issakar,    Zebulon, Yosuf, Benyamin

Attach these stones (each with six names) at your shoulders
As stones of remembering (These 12 names, your inheritance
Are qualities of God.  Visualize them at your shoulders)

We wear a breastplate of discernment, four rows of stones
Corresponding to the names of the 12.  And on our foreheads Inscribed in gold are the letter symbols: Holy to God

There too is a thread of blue indicating: all sins have gone
When you come before God to know the way
Feel the anointing oil on your head

And the headdress and symbols of holiness near your forehead
And the precious twelve stone altar in the heart chakra
The breastplate for discerning (the real from the unreal)

Practice this (visualization- meditation) for seven days
And you will enter the sanctuary of remembering
Whoever touches such an altar becomes consecrated

In the morning and at twilight (stop and think of me)
(Also) when you lift your glass and when you dine
These are entrances into my sanctuary

Here I will meet with you and speak with you
(If you so choose) I will abide in your midst and be your God
Who brings you out of narrow-mindedness (mitzra-im)

With the incense (of genuine prayer) you construct
A three dimensional altar (of your physical self)

And overlay it with pure gold (loving compassion)
Which is most holy to me
